Using a client and learner centred approach and with care in customising training programmes, Making Training Work can:
- advise on the implementation of whole organisation Skills for Life strategies
- conduct organisational training needs analyses
- design and deliver customised staff training programmes
- develop, deliver and manage training programmes with embedded language and literacy skills development
- design, deliver and accredit Skills for Life programmes in the work place
- develop ESOL learning materials
- design and deliver short staff training programmes on community interpreting and bilingual health advocacy
- carry out project evaluations in a Skills for Life or workforce development context
- contribute to research programmes in the context of language and literacy development, improving teaching and learning, workforce development or equal access to the labour market
- provide advice and guidance to staff in organisations
- provide pre & post inspection support on quality improvement
